Got a playbook, now what?
  • suggestions? recommendations?
  • Why did you buy it?

I mean. Are you looking for games? Apps to do something specific?

Blaq is a good Twitter app. Bluebox is excellent for DropBox. Facebook is built in. The browser works well. Put some movies on, put some music on, get yourself a mini-hdmi calbe. Enjoy.

  • Splashtop is a good VNC app, works well enough I can use it to queue up Missions on Star Wars. :)
  • didn't buy it. we renewed our bes support contract and get 2(tho now they're claiming one... so that's a big old argument going on now) free... so being the bes admin i get one :)

really just lookin for something to find useful about it... movies seems to be the popular suggestion.

  • Well, it's as useful as any tablet.

I like tablets. I think they're neat. But, I'm not sold they're as useful as most people make out.

Good for browsing, checking email / social media, have some nice games. Nice screen for TV/movies. If you commute at all, the PB is a nice size. And Bridge will use your phone's internet connection if you want to browse on a nicer screen while you're on the go (no wifi).
  • The best use cases I've heard for tablets are for people who's jobs keep them on the move with a lot of data. Instructors, doctors, shop foremen, architects, etc. For the average personal user playing angry birds on the shitter seems to be the primary benefit :)
