So no one's talking about this cause I figure they are all addicted to Diablo 3.

Picked it up, and so far I'm enjoying it. So far the gameplay is familiar, but the narrative and style is excellent so far. Anyone else playing?

Diablo III: Some thoughts

Overall, I highly enjoy what they ended up releasing. The tweaks from D2 are all backed up smartly for the most part. I have not tried a class that wasnt fun to play, and everyone for the most part seems to enjoy their main. The auction house element is great, well integrated, easy to search for exactly what I want. I dont have to deal with the MMO time grind of transporting from one spot to another, or PVP bullshit. It is what it is.

Having worked a Barbarian up to 60, some classes seem to fare better in inferno than others, but there is no perfec tmix. I was a glass cannon into nightmare as a Barbarian, and had to slowly but surely stack resistance and HP until I could live long enough. There is a constant tweak between AOE and single dmg, tank and DPS....I find even subtle changes with a glyph or skill make a huge difference play wise. I have seen 2h wield Barbarians and Magna was running leap. I have never used leap yet ;) But I have found a few skills I refuse to let go of.

Easy to join an MP game, find the guys in the dungeon and start a murder spree. Essentially its mini WOW without the MMO suck attached to justify the 20 bucks a month. Does crafting or other things require farming mats? sure but the entire game is just loot farm, theres no window dressing there to pretend otherwise.

I liked the story overall, flowed well and had a bunch of fan service moments, art was great, cinematics were awesome and the difficulty grade nudged up each time past normal basically forcing you to react and rethink your build and items.

Hope you guys are having fun with it as well.

Possibly the only thing I would want, but granted, is an MMO type staple, is a guild bank/shared bank between friend accounts. But seeing as how easy it is to get gear to people anyways, not world ending :)

Giving Blood

So, I just made my first appointment ever to give blood. I've never done it before, and it's always made me a bit uncomfortable. I've had blood taken for tests at the doctor, but that's it. A girl I recently dated was O negative, universal donor, and she gave the maximum like clockwork. I realized that I don't even know my own blood type.

I'm curious - do people here give? Regularly? Ever? Know your blood type? Reasons for or against giving? I decided it just seems like the right thing to do - and now that I no longer smoke like a chimney, I think it makes sense to start participating in things like this.

Also is the next difficulty well umm harder? Feels like it's a little easy still, but hey only into Act II so, maybe it gets a bit tougher into Act III and Act IV.

it was suggested tonight that there be requirements for phro to "level up" on his journey which would in turn get him money... some good ideas were suggested... so i'm starting this thread to get that ball rolling some more

here's the suggestions i can recall and who offered them up. photographic evidence will be required:

Camp over night in a Walmart parking lot, while yelling at others to "get off my damn lawn" - Platoon: $10
Offer someone sex in exchange for a place to crash, that person must accept - Platoon: 20$
Offer sponsorship opportunities to every porn video store you come across - Platoon 3$ per sticker you can put on the bike / trailer
Download a WinXP torrent from a free McDonalds WiFi hotspot - Prodigy: $20
Become friends with a dude at the only bar in town(must be in a small town) who has atleast 4 front teeth missing - Prodigy $10 (5$ bonus if the person missing 4 front teeth is actually a woman, 10$ bonus if you remove the 4 teeth for them)

Go see this movie!

This is one of the best movies of the year and you owe it to yourself to go see it.
I don't usually love horror movies, but this one was hilarious and original.
